This week, at the Institute of Contemporary Art, there was the 360: Second Anniversary event to celebrate American designers. Designers that were there were Brian Reyes, Maria Cornejo, Tuleh, Sari Gueron, Chris Benz, Jason Wu, Magda Berliner, Elise Overland, and Lyn Devon. The Olsens twins also attended. The event was not a formal fashion show, but rather there were mannequins and models around the room showcasing the designers work. Was I able to go to this event? No, but I did read every article about it that I could find. It wasn't distance or time that was the problem, but rather price. Each ticket was being sold for $400. That's a little out of my price range.
I'm going to do separate postings for each designer showcased at this event, just to give a taste of their work.
Wow, it's been a while. I was so completely swamped with work, and then I needed a few days off to relax. Well, I'm back now, and I have to say: I love after Christmas sales. You can get the best deals. I picked up a few items such as these ADORABLE Joan & David shoes. Also, some more big sweaters, (one of my essentials), and some fun jewelry from Aldo.

Today I got the French Connection catalogue in the mail and I liked what I saw. My favorite was the coats and jackets they had. This white biker jacket is lovely. The fact that it is not black is really refreshing and somehow works with the design.
This would be perfect to wear to a party. I'm going to need to find a cheap knockoff.
It's a leather jacket...need I say more?
This jacket is darling! How wonderfully cheerful and bright, especially this time of year.
I can tell just by looking at it that this jacket will flatter almost anyone. It's great.
